Neighbors Parking In Driveway & Blocking Our Access

This has been a problem for a while.  Neighbors parking on the sidewalk in front of their building or even worse parking in our Driveway and leaving their vehicle unattended with no-one around to ask to move.

Recently one neighbor’s car was parked there over-night.  This picture was taken by one our residents trying to get out image1_06_2017

of the parking-lot at Montery in the early morning hours to leave for work.

We are seeing it more and more.

No matter how many times you ask them to mover there is always another car, another parking infraction, and someone else to ask to move.

Contact LA Parking Enforcement 24/7 Anonymously by Calling (213) 485-4184

Management is taking these parking violations very seriously.  The Los Angeles City has been contacted and they assure us that these are parking infractions against civil code and can be enforced 24/7.

Simply call Parking Enforcement to report a parking violation.  They are available to respond 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.  It usually does not take them very long to respond to a complaint.  Once reported, an Officer will respond.  Once the Enforcement Officer arrives you will have the choice of whether you want the vehicle cited or impounded.

Security Alert! Please Read

Mailboxes at Mesa Verde in several villas have been broken into in recent weeks. The post office, our mail carrier, and Security are aware of these incidents. Residents should routinely check vulnerable accounts and report any fraudulent activity to both the police and the
post office.

If your individual mailbox lock does not latch and close tightly, please change the lock. Tight fitting mailbox locks ensure that the mailbox door is properly secured. Mailbox locks are available at hardware stores for approx. $10.

Residents are urged to remove mail from their mailboxes daily. If out of town for extended periods, have your mail held by the post office or have someone pick up your mail.

Management is discussing this important issue and is developing a plan of action that will help curb the break-ins.

If you notice suspicious activity in the mailbox areas, please notify the Hayward Police at 510-293-7000 and the Mesa Verde Security officer at 925-260-5583 – Mesa Verde.  Or the Los Angeles Police (323) 561-3211 – Atwater Village / Highland Park – Monterey Villa.

Report Trespassers to the Police

Both transients and people digging through the recycle bins have been reported to management recently. If you see persons who don’t live here or are using the common area or garages to sleep in, or are going through the trash, please contact
Securitas if on duty, at 925.260.5583 or Hayward Police at (non-emergency) 510.293.7000.  Or the LA (323) 561-3211 – Atwater Village / Highland Park – Monterey Villa. Or by calling 911.

Thank you for being a valued part of Valley View Management
